Defining Medical Transcription seems like a pretty straight forward project to me. I will type up medical charts, reports, etc for doctors. I will need (and have gained) a vast knowledge of medical terms and diseases. I have a general grasp on many medical issues and pharmaceuticals.
Many sites that I found were job sites or online school sites. They all basically say the same thing about what is required for an MT to make it in the industry. A well trained MT will know the medical materials and be able to safely and properly transcribe any medical dictation.
